Set Free Alaska is a Christian treatment center located in Alaska with offices in the Mat-Su Valley and Homer that uses a mind-body-spirit approach to recovery addressing substance abuse and mental illness through a trauma-informed approach. The organization provides comprehensive services including substance use and mental health assessments, psychoeducational and evidence-based education delivered in group and individual settings. Set Free Alaska operates multiple programs: outpatient services for individuals with substance use and co-occurring disorders using a client-centered approach; a children and family program serving ages 0-18 with early intervention, preadolescent and adolescent intervention, and family therapy; women's residential treatment; men's residential treatment; and recovery residence options. Residential programs operate on a client-centered model empowering individuals to direct their treatment course. Both residential treatment centers allow clients' accompanying children under age ten as part of their program.
