About Cook Inlet Counseling
Cook Inlet Counseling is a private, nonprofit organization providing therapeutic support for trauma and substance use healing. They serve youth, adults, and families with a focus on building internal wellness and healthy connections. The practice offers individual assessment sessions to identify substance use or mental health experiences requiring therapeutic support. Care is delivered individually through telehealth or in person, in therapeutic groups, or both. They provide outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care. A case manager provides personalized care supporting connection to services and agencies throughout the community and state, including resources for people choosing medication assisted treatment. Trauma therapy includes Brainspotting, a focused treatment that works by identifying, processing, and releasing core neurophysiological sources of emotional and body pain, trauma, dissociation, and other challenging symptoms.
