About Heritage Foundation Inc

The Heritage Foundation is a non-profit organization established in Georgia in 1989 that provides prevention, education, intervention, and treatment services throughout southwest Georgia and across the state. Originally founded to promote positivity in the lives of African Americans, the organization broadened its focus in 1994 to address generational, psycho-social, and behavioral issues affecting families. The Foundation operates multiple programs including Maya's House, a residential substance abuse treatment program for women and children; House of Focus, an outpatient program for women and families affected by substance abuse; and the Sycamore Center, which provides diagnostic assessments, intensive in-home counseling, and case management for youth experiencing mental health symptoms, behavioral difficulties, and addictive diseases. Additional services include anger management, parenting, domestic violence counseling, individual and family counseling, pre-marital and marriage counseling, and trauma services. Located in Thomasville, Georgia.
