About Healthcare for the Homeless Houston
Healthcare for the Homeless - Houston is Houston's only federally qualified health center exclusively providing care to those affected by homelessness. The organization offers free, comprehensive services to people living on the streets, in shelters, in transitional or permanent supportive housing, and those at-risk of homelessness. Insurance is not required. Services include primary medical care, well-women's care, pediatric medicine, comprehensive dental care, pharmacy services, integrated mental health and behavioral health services, vision and ophthalmology, podiatry, case management and care coordination, and transportation services. The organization also operates the city's only bus program providing access to 23 health centers and service agencies for individuals affected by homelessness.
