Fargo VA Healthcare System

This is the Veterans Affairs (VA) mental health services program, which provides free mental health support to veterans across multiple service eras including Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraq War, Gulf War, Cold War, Vietnam War, Korean War, and World War II. The VA offers services for PTSD, depression, suicide prevention, military sexual trauma, substance use problems, anxiety, grief, and readjustment to civilian life. Services include peer support with other veterans, counseling, therapy, medication, or combinations thereof. The program serves over 1.7 million veterans annually and provides care through VA medical centers and Vet Centers. Access does not require VA health care enrollment or specific discharge status. The VA also offers telemental health services via computer or mobile device, self-help online portals, mental health apps, and peer assistance programs for service members and transitioning veterans.
