Wilmington Treatment Center, founded in 1984, is a 250-bed provider specializing in substance abuse and chemical dependency treatment for adults. The center offers a full continuum of services including inpatient detoxification, inpatient rehabilitation, partial hospitalization with boarding, and intensive outpatient programming. Their treatment team includes a medical director certified in addiction medicine, registered nurses, physicians assistants, certified substance abuse counselors, licensed clinicians, a licensed recreational therapist, and certified art therapist. The center is licensed as a hospital and specializes in treating individuals with co-occurring medical and mental health conditions. Treatment incorporates individual, group, and family therapy; recreational therapy; leisure activities; and medication management. Specialized tracks include Foundations Training for chronic pain and Operation Recovery for active-duty military, veterans, and first responders.
