The Gambling Clinic, run by the Tennessee Institute for Gambling Education and Research (TIGER) at the University of Memphis, has provided gambling-specific treatment since 1999. Care is individual cognitive-behavioral therapy, typically 8 to 10 weekly one-hour sessions, delivered in person or by statewide telehealth, with peer recovery specialist support. Treatment is free to Tennessee residents through funding from the Tennessee Department of Mental Health and Substance Abuse Services.
