Northwest Louisiana Human Services District is a Local Governmental Entity created by Act 373 in 2008 to serve nine parishes in Northwest Louisiana: Bienville, Bossier, Caddo, Claiborne, DeSoto, Natchitoches, Red River, Sabine, and Webster. The district provides mental health, addictive disorder, and developmental disability services to residents across its service area. As one of 10 Local Governmental Entities in Louisiana, the district operates within a framework of public policy objectives and accountability measures designed to deliver quality services efficiently and effectively. The organization is committed to promoting wellness, recovery, and independence through integrated community-based services and education.
