About Ouachita Regional Counseling and MHC
Ouachita Behavioral Health and Wellness (OBHAW) is the largest and oldest community mental health center serving five counties in Arkansas. As a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, OBHAW provides compassionate, accessible, and affordable behavioral health services to individuals and families regardless of income or insurance status. The organization serves over 5,551 clients annually, nearly half of whom experience serious mental illness. Services include individual and group counseling, family counseling, psychiatric treatment, and medication management delivered through both virtual appointments and in-person services at locations in Hot Springs, Malvern, Arkadelphia, and Mt. Ida. Approximately 83 percent of clients are low to moderate-income, and 61 percent are enrolled in Medicaid. OBHAW operates as a National Health Service Corps site and offers discounted or sliding fee scale services for qualifying patients.
