About Birch Tree Communities
Birch Tree Communities is a non-profit behavioral health program providing care and supportive housing for adults living with serious mental illness. Founded in 1989, the organization has served more than 3,000 adults across Arkansas, helping them transition to more independent and satisfying lives in the community. Birch Tree operates 12 locations throughout Arkansas and serves approximately 400 members. The organization provides a full continuum of care including rehabilitative day treatment, illness management, supportive housing, life enrichment programs, pharmacy services, and expressive arts integration. Birch Tree Communities is the largest therapeutic communities provider in Arkansas and a leader in residential care for adults with serious and persistent mental illness.
