About New Haven RTC

New Haven is a residential treatment center founded in 1995 that provides care for adolescent girls in a home-like environment. The program emphasizes family-centered treatment with parents expected to participate in the therapeutic process alongside their daughter. Treatment is relationship-based rather than behavioral modification-focused, and includes intensive family workshops every 8 weeks through their Family Healing program. The facility maintains the highest staff-to-student ratio in the nation and uses a multidisciplinary treatment team that meets weekly to review each student's progress. New Haven integrates academic education including AP and honors courses with mental health support, and offers private lessons and animal-assisted therapy. The program includes aftercare services to support successful transition home, with options for in-home coaching. The facility is located on a campus with recreational and therapeutic amenities.
