About MCCA Inc. - Torrington
MCCA (Midwestern Connecticut Council of Alcoholism, Inc.) is the primary provider of substance abuse prevention, evaluation and treatment services in the greater Danbury area. Established in 1972, MCCA offers inpatient treatment, residential treatment, withdrawal management, intensive outpatient, and outpatient services for individuals suffering from addiction to alcohol and other substances. The organization operates seven outpatient clinics across Connecticut in Bridgeport, Danbury, Derby, New Haven, New Milford, Torrington, and Waterbury. MCCA also provides specialized treatment for gambling disorder through the Bettor Choice Gambling Program, an outpatient program funded by the State of Connecticut that offers individual therapy, group counseling, psychiatric evaluation, couples and family counseling, and financial recovery strategies. Inpatient gambling treatment is available at McDonough House facility. Residential treatment programs include Trinity Glen Men's Program in Sharon and Trinity Glen Women's Program in Kent.
