About
Kodiak Area Native Association (KANA) was formed in 1966 as a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation to serve Alaska Native people of the Koniag Region, including the City of Kodiak and six outlying villages: Akhiok, Karluk, Larsen Bay, Old Harbor, Ouzinkie, and Port Lions. KANA is governed by a 10-member Board of Directors and offers healthcare and social services within their region, including a wide range of wellness and community services. The organization provides ambulatory primary care and participates in ongoing self-evaluation and quality improvement initiatives.
