Great to meet you
Hometown Recovery and Counseling started in the summer of 2020 as a partner in addiction recovery and mental health services. The practice began by providing mental health services to the community and expanded into sober living. They offer outpatient services, sober living facilities certified by Ohio Recovery Housing, mental health services, and medication assisted treatment. The organization works with other agencies in the area to provide mental health services to those in need.

Evidence-based approaches
Cognitive behavioral therapy
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Spots the thought-feeling-action loops that fuel urges, then rewires them with practical skills you take into the moment.
Couples/family therapy
Family Therapy. Brings the people closest to the recovery into the room. Less about blame, more about updating the patterns that fed the cycle so the home becomes part of the recovery.
Dialectical behavior therapy
Dialectical Behavior Therapy. Pairs acceptance with change. Especially useful when emotions feel too big to ride out without acting on them.
Group therapy
Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.
Integrated mental and substance use disorder treatment
Integrated Treatment. Treats addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions in the same plan, rather than sequentially. Most clinically effective when both are present.
Individual psychotherapy
Individual Psychotherapy. One-to-one sessions with a licensed clinician. The standard-bearer of mental-health care; most evidence-based plans build around it.
Telemedicine/telehealth therapy
Telehealth Therapy. Real clinical sessions delivered over video. Same evidence base as in-person care for most conditions; meets you where you actually are instead of where the office is.
