Great to meet you

Gateway Community Service Board is a public community-based organization serving eight Georgia counties: Camden, Glynn, McIntosh, Liberty, Chatham, Bryan, Long, and Effingham. As an instrumentality of the State of Georgia, Gateway provides comprehensive community services for mental health, substance use disorders, and developmental disorders. The organization operates Gateway Women's Residential, a residential program for women in recovery, as well as the Gateway Training Center for socialization and skills development. Gateway operates a subsidiary, Distinctive Housing Solutions, a non-profit 501(c)(3) organization, to manage and hold real property for housing consumers across various programs. The organization offers group homes, community living supports, and supported employment services through programs serving individuals with mental health, substance use, and developmental disorders.

Evidence-based approaches

Cognitive behavioral therapy

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy. Spots the thought-feeling-action loops that fuel urges, then rewires them with practical skills you take into the moment.

Couples/family therapy

Family Therapy. Brings the people closest to the recovery into the room. Less about blame, more about updating the patterns that fed the cycle so the home becomes part of the recovery.

Group therapy

Group Therapy. A small facilitated circle where people working on similar struggles practice naming what is hard, hearing themselves in others, and learning skills together. The room is the medicine.

Integrated mental and substance use disorder treatment

Integrated Treatment. Treats addiction and co-occurring mental health conditions in the same plan, rather than sequentially. Most clinically effective when both are present.

Individual psychotherapy

Individual Psychotherapy. One-to-one sessions with a licensed clinician. The standard-bearer of mental-health care; most evidence-based plans build around it.

Telemedicine/telehealth therapy

Telehealth Therapy. Real clinical sessions delivered over video. Same evidence base as in-person care for most conditions; meets you where you actually are instead of where the office is.
