Correctional Psychology Associates provides forensic evaluations and therapeutic services for clients involved in the criminal-legal system in Colorado. Founded in 1998, the practice specializes in evidence-based, research-informed therapy informed by the Risk-Need-Responsivity model, aimed at reducing recidivism and helping clients rebuild their lives in the community. The team of forensically-trained therapists conducts criminogenic evaluations with collateral record review, assessment analysis, and clinical interviewing, followed by group and individual therapy addressing identified treatment needs. The practice offers outpatient services in the community and jail-based clinical services for local counties and medical companies. They are a Client Choice Treatment Provider for the Colorado Department of Corrections, licensed to provide ASAM Level 0.5, 1.0, and 2.1 substance abuse groups, and have staff approved to facilitate Domestic Violence Treatment Services. The practice also provides trainings to mental health providers and correctional agencies on the Risk-Need-Responsivity model.
