COPS (Counselors Obediently Preventing Substance Abuse) is a faith-based substance use disorder treatment organization founded in 2002 and located in Kansas City, Missouri. The program incorporates spirituality as a foundation for recovery and operates a certified outpatient treatment program. COPS offers comprehensive services including comprehensive initial assessment, certified intensive outpatient treatment, relapse prevention, individual and group counseling, care coordination, recovery coaching, and recovery housing. The organization operates three transitional homes for men: House Gibbor, House Israel, and House Exodus. The program is designed to help individuals achieve stable recovery, develop basic life skills, and become productive members of their families and communities.
