About Connections for Kids
Connections for Kids is a fully licensed mental health agency serving children and families in South Portland, Maine. Founded in 1996 by a former foster parent, the organization originally provided short-term residential placements for children in the custody of the Department of Health and Human Services, with a focus on keeping sibling groups together. It has since expanded from a single residential program to a comprehensive mental health and educational agency providing a continuum of care. Services include school-based and residential programs, community-based services, special purpose private schools, day treatment, trauma and attachment services, targeted case management, outpatient services, and rehabilitative community support services.
