About Community Counseling Services - Columbus
Community Counseling Services (Region VII Mental Health/Intellectual Disabilities Commission) is a state-certified, community-based mental health center in Mississippi formed under the Federal Community Mental Health Centers Act of 1963. The 501(c)3 non-profit agency is licensed and partially funded by the Mississippi State Department of Mental Health and serves adults, children, and youth across one of 14 mental health regions in the state. The practice provides quality, affordable, culturally sensitive behavioral health services aimed at helping clients attain their highest level of individual and family functioning in the least restrictive environment. They explicitly serve all patients regardless of ability to pay, with sliding-scale discounts based on family size and income. Intake requires scheduling with the county office where the client resides.
