BJC Behavioral Health has provided mental health and substance use services since 1997, serving citizens in St. Louis City, St. Louis County, and the counties of St. Francois, Iron, and Washington in Missouri. The organization serves as the point of entry for people eligible for services funded through the Missouri Department of Mental Health and also provides services under various health plans and grants. In 2022, BJC Behavioral Health became a Certified Community Behavioral Health Organization (CCBHO), expanding programs to include more extensive substance use services. The organization delivers primarily community-based services and coordinates with a variety of agencies and community resources. Their mission is to improve the mental health and well-being of people and communities impacted by mental illness and substance use.
