Beacon House is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing compassionate, professional help to women and women with children recovering from alcoholism and/or chemical dependency. The organization provides a safe, supportive home-like environment for chemically-dependent women to rebuild their lives emotionally, spiritually, and behaviorally to ensure long-term recovery. Services include group and individual counseling, parenting classes, specialty groups focused on spirituality, domestic violence, eating concerns, relationship issues, and anger management. The program emphasizes development of the whole woman by bringing mental, social, physical, emotional, and spiritual capabilities into focus, with continued work on the Twelve Step program and individual assessment. Additional services include employment and vocational counseling, life skills development, intervention programming, and relapse prevention planning. The average length of stay is 90-120 days.
