Great to meet you

Ace Recovery for Men is a charitable private not-for-profit organization established in 1994 that provides residential recovery services for men struggling with alcohol and other drug addiction. The organization began in Washington D.C. providing outreach services for the homeless and started affordable drug abuse services in the South Carolina region in 2001. The program operates a men's retreat in a rural setting in the rolling hills, designed to remove men from the driving forces of their addiction and provide a therapeutic environment. The facility offers detoxification and recovery services at reasonable financial costs. The treatment approach emphasizes the male-specific challenges men face with addiction and the therapeutic benefits of nature exposure, which research shows reduces stress, improves emotional wellbeing, and decreases physical tension and blood pressure. The gender-specific, nature-based setting is intended to facilitate openness and honesty during group work and allow men to process personal issues without romantic distractions.
