Women in Need
About Women in Need
Women In Need (WIN) has been serving Hawaii's community since 1996 by assisting women and their families with transitional housing and other support services. WIN provides services to women experiencing substance abuse, domestic violence, incarceration, and homelessness. The organization offers Intensive Outpatient classes for individuals struggling with substance abuse, domestic violence resources and awareness training, family support and parenting assistance, post-incarceration housing and re-entry classes, and transitional or permanent housing for women and children experiencing homelessness. WIN also provides counseling, career development, and peer-to-peer coaching through their trained volunteer coaches. One distinguishing feature is that WIN allows children to reside with their mothers and begins the planning process while women are still in prison, helping them identify employment and achieve personal goals.
