West River Mental Health

West River Mental Health is a private not-for-profit agency providing mental health and substance use disorder services throughout western South Dakota. Founded in 1948, the organization has served the region for over 75 years with locations in Rapid City, Spearfish, and Hot Springs. They serve adults, children, families, and communities across ten counties: Bennett, Butte, Custer, Fall River, Harding, Jackson, Meade, Lawrence, Pennington, and Oglala Lakota. The agency offers counseling, psychiatric care, case management, children and family services, emergency services, and addiction treatment. Their mission is to provide effective, accessible mental health and substance use services that empower individuals to lead full, productive lives while strengthening the communities they serve.
