Weems Community Mental Health Center, established in 1970, is a non-profit mental health center serving nine counties in Region Ten of the Mississippi Community Mental Health System. They provide a range of outpatient mental health services including mental health therapy, medication evaluation and management, and community support services for children, adolescents, and adults. The center also offers inpatient crisis stabilization services for adults, outpatient residential substance-abuse treatment programs, parent education services, an employee assistance program, supported employment services, and substance-abuse prevention education. They operate a 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for short-term psychiatric stabilization and a Mobile Crisis Response Team available 24 hours a day. The center uses a sliding fee scale and is located at 1415 College Dr. in Meridian, Mississippi.
