Weems Community Mental Health Center is a non-profit mental health organization established in 1970, serving nine counties in Region Ten of the Mississippi Community Mental Health System (Clarke, Jasper, Kemper, Lauderdale, Leake, Neshoba, Newton, Scott, and Smith). Located at 1415 College Drive in Meridian, MS, Weems provides a range of services addressing stress, depression, mental health disorders, substance abuse, and family problems. Services include outpatient mental health therapy, medication evaluation and management, community support services, crisis stabilization, and outpatient residential substance-abuse treatment programs. The center serves children, adolescents, and adults through individual, family, marital, and group therapy. Weems operates a 24/7 Mobile Crisis Response Team and a 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for short-term psychiatric stabilization of adults. Additional services include parent education, supported employment for individuals with mental illness, prevention programs, and employee assistance programs.
