Volunteers of America (VOA)/Alaska

VOA Alaska is a non-profit organization providing behavioral health and well-being services to youth, young adults, and their families across Alaska. Their services are offered at low or no cost, ensuring no one is turned away due to an inability to pay. VOA Alaska employs a strength-based and person-centered approach to promote wellness. They offer a continuum of treatment options in a safe, supportive, and caring environment. Services include mental health therapy, substance use counseling, family therapy, and kinship care. They also provide supportive housing and residential treatment, specifically through their ARCH – Residential Treatment program. VOA Alaska delivers services in schools, within the community, and statewide via telehealth. The organization aims to empower youth to address mental health and substance use challenges. They also work to end houselessness for young adults through affordable housing, mental health and wellness services, peer support, and life-skills development. Additionally, VOA Alaska strengthens families by supporting youth enrolled in their care through education, intervention, home-based services, and family therapy, with extra support for Kinship Caregivers.
