Great to meet you

Volunteers of America Los Angeles (VOALA) is a faith-based non-profit human services organization founded in 1896. They are committed to serving people in need, strengthening families, and building communities in Los Angeles. VOALA provides a broad scope of support and services for all individuals, regardless of race, sex, age, or religious preference. Their services include housing and supportive services for homeless youth, general housing and shelter programs, and children and family services that offer developmentally, culturally, and linguistically appropriate educational experiences. They also offer veterans' services, addressing issues such as depression, anxiety, PTSD, and substance use disorders. Additionally, VOALA provides education and empowerment programs to help people of all ages become self-sufficient. They offer diverse services for individuals in recovery and those coming out of the criminal justice system, as well as a Victims Assistance Sanctuary for victims of human trafficking nationwide. VOALA maintains essential services, including shelters and residential sites, for the homeless, veterans, youth, and families. They implement best-practice program models to meet the needs of the people they serve.
