Volunteers of America Mid-States is a nonprofit organization that provides substance use disorder recovery services for men and women across Kentucky, Tennessee, West Virginia, and Clark and Floyd counties in Indiana. The organization operates the Freedom House program, described as a national model for pregnant and parenting women overcoming substance use disorder. In addition to recovery services, VOA Mid-States provides housing for families, veterans and low-income seniors; care and support for individuals with developmental disabilities; restorative justice services; employment services; and public health services including HIV testing and education.
