About this practice
About
Tulsa Boys' Home is a not-for-profit residential treatment facility serving troubled boys aged 13-18 in Oklahoma. Founded in 1918, it is the first and largest residential treatment facility for boys in Oklahoma, serving approximately 54 boys daily. The facility serves boys placed by the Department of Human Services as well as privately placed boys. The program provides residential care designed to help boys develop into well-adjusted, responsible adults, with a philosophy centered on the belief that emotional and behavioral problems stem from painful past events and difficult relationships. Treatment emphasizes positive reinforcement of adaptive behaviors. Services include an on-campus school staffed by certified teachers, a substance abuse treatment program, and equine and recreation programs. The facility has served over 14,000 boys throughout its 106-year history.
