Tri-County Commission on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, established in 1972, provides comprehensive behavioral health services for individuals and families in Orangeburg, Bamberg, and Calhoun counties. The organization offers prevention, education, screening, treatment, and recovery services addressing substance abuse involving tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs. Treatment services are tailored to individual needs and include assessment, counseling, outpatient programs, medication-assisted treatment, and inpatient care. The William J. McCord Adolescent Treatment Facility in Orangeburg is licensed as a psychiatric hospital offering specialized inpatient and outpatient care for teens. Adolescent services address substance abuse, mental health, school, and home environment issues. Adult services include counseling, outpatient programs, and medication-assisted treatment. The organization also provides employment-related services including physical exams, vaccinations, drug screenings, and CPR training.
