Great to meet you

The VA provides mental health services for Veterans across multiple service eras, including Operation Enduring Freedom, Iraq War, Gulf War, Cold War Era, Vietnam War, Korean War, and World War II. Services address PTSD, depression, anxiety, military sexual trauma (MST), substance use problems, grief, suicide prevention, and adjustment to civilian life. Services are available through VA medical centers and Vet Centers, accessible without enrollment in VA health care or restrictions based on discharge status or service history. Over 1.7 million Veterans received mental health services at the VA last year. Care options include peer support with other Veterans, counseling, therapy, medication, or combinations thereof. Telemental health services are available through computer or mobile device, and online self-help tools and apps support Veterans managing symptoms and developing coping skills.
