Stonington Institute is a treatment provider located on a 26-acre campus in rural North Stonington, CT that treats substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions. The facility operates detoxification services in a medically-supervised, unlocked, campus-style therapeutic environment, as well as day treatment programs including intensive outpatient and partial hospitalization options. The institute approaches addiction treatment holistically, addressing body, mind, and spirit. Clients completing detox are introduced to a 12-step model of recovery. The facility also offers the Patriot Support Program, a specialized co-occurring residential rehabilitation program for active duty military personnel from all branches of service. Treatment staff utilize recovery methods focused on developing strategies for healthy decision-making and education supporting long-term mental health recovery.
