Spindletop Center

Spindletop Center is a community-based mental health and substance use recovery provider serving individuals and families. They provide outpatient substance use disorder treatment programs that include individual, group, and family counseling along with aftercare, relapse prevention, education, and support groups. Mental health services address conditions such as sadness, concentration difficulties, anxiety, guilt, mood changes, and sleep problems. The center also offers crisis intervention services with trained professionals providing mental health support and emotional assistance during crises. Additional services include family-centered early childhood intervention for ages birth to 3 years, services for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, and Mental Health First Aid training courses. A sliding fee scale is available based on family size and income, and they do not turn anyone away for inability to pay.
