Southern Iowa Economic Development Association Behavioral Health and Treatment Services (SIEDA)

Sieda Community Action is a community action organization serving Wapello County and surrounding areas in Iowa. The organization works with communities to secure opportunities for people in need through advocacy, counseling, education, partnerships, and supportive services. Sieda provides a broad range of services organized around three core pillars: Education (including Family Development and Self Sufficiency, Parents as Teachers, Head Start programs, and Maternal Infant Early Childhood Home Visitation programs), Economic Support (assistance with home energy, crisis support, and everyday expenses), and Health and Well-Being (prevention and treatment services addressing physical and mental health). The organization also offers infant and toddler day care, a diaper pantry, and low-income home energy assistance. Sieda's mission is to help individuals become self-reliant and contribute positively to their families and communities.
