About Southern Arizona VA Healthcare Servs
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) provides mental health services to Veterans across a network of VA medical centers and Vet Centers. Services address PTSD, depression, suicide prevention, military sexual trauma, anxiety, substance use problems, and adjustment to civilian life. Mental health care is available free to eligible Veterans regardless of discharge status or VA health care enrollment. The VA offers peer support with other Veterans, counseling, therapy, medication, and combinations of treatment. Access is available in-person at any VA medical center or Vet Center, or remotely through VA telemental health programs. The VA also provides self-help portals, mobile applications, and peer assistance programs for Veterans and transitioning service members.
