SMC RECOVERY provides treatment for opioid use disorder using methadone as a tool to reduce cravings for illicit opiates. The program emphasizes abstinence from substances of abuse and offers individual and group counseling sessions to help clients develop relapse prevention skills, change lifestyles, reduce risks, and build healthy relationships. Treatment is individualized and client-centered, respecting client strengths and preferences. The practice recognizes that successful recovery requires treating the whole person and may incorporate 12-step programs, behavioral therapies, medical interventions, and counseling support. Staff are committed to providing respectful, dignified care and value client input through suggestion boxes and direct communication with the Director of Client Services.
