Self-Help Addiction Rehabilitation, Inc. (SHAR) has provided high quality behavioral healthcare services to individuals in the Greater Detroit area since 1969. Founded in Detroit, Michigan by a priest and two recovering individuals, SHAR has grown into a multi-million dollar human service agency serving approximately 6,000 individuals annually. SHAR specializes in developing and administering innovative programs for individuals facing alcohol or other drug addictions, homelessness, mental or physical health issues, and other challenges. The organization is a federally recognized 501(c)3, accredited by CARF, and licensed by the State of Michigan. SHAR's mission is to assist disadvantaged individuals and promote lifestyle enhancement through comprehensive behavioral healthcare services.
