Sabater LAB Foundation

SabaterLAB is an organization serving uniquely diverse communities in Rhode Island by building partnerships, securing funding, and running programs with integrative services. The organization operates using an ecological model and dynamic systems approach that embraces all areas of the community. SabaterLAB addresses an unmet need for racial, cultural, and linguistic competent behavioral health providers by offering exposure, training, supervision, and mentorship. The organization partners with educational institutions including William James College, Community College of Rhode Island, Johnson & Wales University, and Rhode Island College to provide clinical training and service internship programs. SabaterLAB serves as a practicum training collaborative clinical site and hosts interns from multiple high schools and colleges throughout Rhode Island, focusing on youth mental health training and career pathway development.
