The South Central Louisiana Human Services Authority (SCLHSA) was created by the Louisiana Legislature in 2006 to provide behavioral health and developmental disability services to individuals in Assumption, Lafourche, St. Charles, St. James, St. John, St. Mary and Terrebonne Parishes. The organization provides a comprehensive array of evidence-based treatment services to the community regardless of ability to pay. Services are designed to help clients achieve individual goals through individualized care and a focus on enhancing quality of life. The organization is governed by a local board composed of nine members from the seven parishes in its region.
