Richmond Behavioral Health Authority (RBHA) is the public entity responsible for providing mental health, intellectual disabilities, substance abuse and prevention services to the citizens of the City of Richmond and across the central Virginia region. RBHA provides a continuum of services to meet the needs of both adults and children experiencing behavioral health issues, including crisis response available 24/7. The organization understands that individuals and families may have multiple needs and co-occurring behavioral health challenges requiring a comprehensive approach to treatment and support. RBHA is the only community services board in the metro Richmond area that provides HIV-specific intensive services and specializes in co-occurring services. Services include crisis response, intake and admissions, mental health services, substance use and prevention services, developmental services, criminal justice services, primary medical care, office-based opioid treatment, pharmacy services, psychiatric services, and withdrawal management.
