Rescue Mission of Utica

The Rescue Mission of Utica, Inc. is a faith-based Christian ministry founded in 1890 serving the city of Utica and the Mohawk Valley. The organization provides comprehensive services to multiple populations including those experiencing homelessness, individuals with substance use disorders, those recently released from incarceration, individuals with mental health diagnoses, and those experiencing food, clothing, or housing insecurity. Services include emergency shelter for men, a drop-in center, an addiction stabilization center, peer engagement and support services, community-based residential programs, an enriched living center, job training through Skills for Success, and food services. The mission focuses on transforming lives with compassion, dignity, and grace by meeting physical, mental, emotional, spiritual, and practical needs.
