About Region X Weems CMHC
Weems Community Mental Health Center, located in Meridian, Mississippi, was established in 1970 and serves nine counties in Region Ten of the Mississippi Community Mental Health System. The center is a non-profit organization providing comprehensive mental health and substance abuse services for children, adolescents, and adults. Services include mental health therapy, medication evaluation and management, community support services, crisis intervention, and case management. The center offers outpatient mental health services for addressing a wide range of issues including depression, stress, anxiety, and family problems. It operates a 16-bed Crisis Stabilization Unit for short-term psychiatric stabilization of adults, provides inpatient crisis stabilization services for adults, and operates outpatient residential substance-abuse treatment programs. Additional services include parent education, mobile crisis response available 24 hours a day, supported employment programs, prevention services, and an Employee Assistance Program. The center operates on a sliding fee scale.
