Refuge A Healing PlaceResidential Treatment in Ocklawaha, FL
Great to meet you
The Refuge – A Healing Place is a long-term, 12-step based treatment center located on 94 acres in Florida's Ocala National Forest. The facility treats individuals struggling with trauma, addiction, and mental and behavioral health concerns. The Refuge uses an integrated approach that treats trauma and addiction together, recognizing that trauma is centered in the nervous system and that processing trauma in a nature-setting helps reduce reliance on maladaptive coping mechanisms such as substance abuse or process addictions. Treatment is personalized, as the center believes each person's nervous system is unique. The Refuge offers a variety of treatment approaches and methods designed to heal the whole person, helping clients understand that their behaviors are symptoms of underlying conditions and teaching them tools for sustained recovery.
