The Ranch, Inc. is a residential recovery program located on a 204-acre campus in Frederick County, Maryland, serving adult men with substance use disorders who identify as men and have Maryland Medicaid. Founded in 2015 (previously a youth ranch since 1974), the program offers a 6-month clinically supported halfway house at the ASAM 3.1 level of care. Residents live in a clean and sober environment with on-site living areas, dining hall, fitness center, and computer lab. The program requires clients to attend a minimum of 5 mutual aid groups, 5 hours of life skills classes, 4 psychoeducational groups, and 1 counseling session weekly. Treatment emphasizes addressing the whole person using the 8 Dimensions of Wellness concept, with therapy provided by trained and qualified professionals on a weekly basis. The facility offers 24/7 residential services, life skills training, counseling, and continued support after treatment completion.
