Prevention Resources, Inc. is the longest-standing prevention agency in Hunterdon County, NJ, founded in 1971. The organization is dedicated to promoting health and wellness of individuals, families, and communities through prevention education, collaboration, advocacy, harm reduction, treatment, and recovery. Licensed by the Division of Mental Health and Addiction Services as a level 1 outpatient program, Prevention Resources offers diverse early intervention and treatment services including substance use evaluations, substance use counseling, and the Intoxicated Drivers Resource Center. The organization operates two main centers: the Safer Together Harm Reduction Center, which provides compassionate, person-centered care to save lives and improve community wellbeing through a harm reduction approach; and the Community Wellness Center, which offers mental health care, peer-led support, and access to co-occurring disorder resources in a welcoming, safe environment.
