Potters House

Atlanta Mission is a faith-based nonprofit organization serving Metro Atlanta's homeless population since 1938. Originally established as a soup kitchen during the Great Depression, the organization has expanded significantly to provide comprehensive services addressing homelessness, poverty, and addiction. They operate multiple facilities including The Potter's House offering long-term residential recovery programs for men, My Sister's House providing emergency and long-term residential recovery care to women and children, The Shepherd's Inn serving meals and shelter to men, and Restoration House, a low-barrier shelter for women and children that opened in 2021. The organization has developed the Transformation Model to End Homelessness through best practice research and offers services including Choose Help and Make Progress programs designed to meet individual needs. Atlanta Mission operates on Christ-centered values focused on helping clients know, walk, and live for Christ while addressing addiction, homelessness, and poverty.
