STEPS is a private not-for-profit, community-based organization founded in 1983 providing a continuum of comprehensive substance use treatment services and education in Central Florida. The organization serves individuals of all ages with substance use disorders and co-occurring mental health conditions, prioritizing those who are indigent, pregnant, postpartum, have children, or use intravenous drugs. STEPS utilizes a person-centered recovery approach that recognizes multiple pathways to recovery, respects individual choice, and promotes partnership between professionals and peer supporters. Located in Orlando, Florida with multiple program locations, the organization collaborates extensively with state agencies and community partners to provide comprehensive behavioral health treatment to individuals and families.
