The Phoenix House of Tuscaloosa is a state certified residential rehab facility founded in 1972 that serves men and women throughout Alabama. Located at 700 35th Avenue in Tuscaloosa, AL, the facility provides individualized, supportive, and compassionate care to those suffering from addiction. The program treats each client's underlying core problems to help them heal spiritually, mentally, and physically. They provide strong case management focused on personal goals and relationship development, with an emphasis on repairing family dynamics, rebuilding futures, and achieving a sustainable recovering lifestyle. The facility is supported by The United Way of West Alabama, the Alabama Department of Mental Health, and local churches.

To be considered for admission, you must have a state substance abuse psychosocial assessment. You can obtain an assessment at your local Mental Health Center or call Phoenix House at (205) 758-3867 for an appointment at no cost. If you already have an assessment, fax it to (205) 758-3803 attention INTAKE or email [email protected] for review. The admission coordinator will assist with next steps once criteria are met and a bed is available.
