Palmer Drug Abuse Prog of Lea County

The Palmer Drug Abuse Program (PDAP) is a fellowship of individuals and families working together to address substance use disorders. Founded in 1971 by Father Charlie Wyatt-Brown and Bob Meehan in Houston, Texas, PDAP began as a youth-focused support group in a church basement. The program serves adolescents and families affected by substance abuse and addiction through acceptance, love, and understanding. PDAP operates as a fiscally responsible non-profit providing free services for families affected by substance abuse. The organization has locations in Houston, Dallas, and Hobbs, New Mexico. Services include individual and group counseling for substance abusers, women in recovery, and families with children affected by substance abuse. PDAP integrates a service dog into clinical work to provide comfort and support during counseling sessions.
